Is the app free?
Yes. Sommerfugl ID is free to download and use. Download a country pack in the app to identify butterflies and use the field guide offline.
Does the app work without internet?
Yes, after you download a country pack. Identification and the downloaded guide run on your phone. Online updates and downloads still need a connection.
Can I use a different language from my country?
Yes. Your country selects the species and model. Danish, English, Norwegian and Swedish can be used independently of it.
What if the suggested species is wrong?
Compare the alternatives and identifying features in the guide. Try a sharper photo. In the app, you can choose the correct species before confirming a sighting.
A country download will not finish. What can I do?
Check your internet connection and available phone storage, then try again. Send the displayed error and your app version to support if it continues.
