Small copper is common in Denmark. Wingspan: 22-35 mm. The species has 3-4 annual generations. It is found throughout a wide range of different landscapes, although most frequently in warm locations such as grasslands, meadows, and fallow fields.

Identifying features
Wingspan: 22–35 mm. The forewing upperside is a shining golden orange, with several black spots and a greyish border and outer margin.
Similar species
Can be easily confused with the female of scarce copper (Lycaena virgaureae), but this species is significantly larger.

Small copper is commonly found throughout Denmark.
Biology
Small copper is a very fast bee, which often flits around various flowers. It is not picky regarding its food plants and sucks nectar from almost all flower species.
